OUR STORY

A talented group of musicians, collectively known as “Sixwire”, spent a couple of years touring in support of their own Warner Brothers Records releases, but realized that their musical training was much broader than what was needed for original music, or for any single genre.  So, they ventured into television work, serving as “house band” for shows such as USA Network’s “Nashville Star”, CMT’s “Next Superstar”, FOX’s “American Band”, and ABC’s drama “Nashville”, all the while developing a process of learning songs quickly, and effectively duplicating original arrangements and sounds.  This became the basis for Sixwire’s on-stage performances as well, as they began frequently featuring “guest stars” from pop, rock and country music, who trusted the band to faithfully represent them.

A call from entertainment producer Andy Kerr led to Sixwire’s involvement in a celebrity golf tournament jam in Palm Desert, California.  “The Warburton / St. Jude Celebrity Golf Tournament”, hosted by actor Patrick Warburton, was in the planning stages of it’s second annual event.  Tournament coordinator Clarke Rheney wanted to add a “celebrity jam session” to the festivities, as there were already several rock and pop stars attending and playing golf.  Andy Kerr believed Sixwire would be the right fit for the event, so he arranged for Rheney to meet with Sixwire front-man Andy Childs.  Rather than a typically unorganized jam session, Sixwire brought a level of professionalism and experience that developed the Warburton Jam into a world-class concert event, with tight arrangements and a seamless show-flow.  The success and fantastic reviews of the Warburton Jam captured the interest of event producers everywhere.  Soon, Andy Kerr’s production company and the members of Sixwire would make the All Star Jam concept available to all.

Since that time, the All Star Jam with Sixwire has performed all over the US, providing entertainment for countless corporate events, showrooms, performing arts centers, and outdoor festivals.  More than 100 stars of pop, rock, and country have been a part of Sixwire’s All Star Jams, including Grammy winners, CMA, ACM, and AMA winners, members of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and the Country Music Hall Of Fame, all among an ever-growing list of multi-platinum selling recording artists.

The beneficiary of the fundraising efforts of the Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament is St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.  The Warburton alone has helped to raise well over $15 Million in the past 10 years.  The All Star Jam has expanded its presence at multiple golf tournaments and events around the country that benefit St Jude, and the combined fundraising effort has raised in excess of $20 Million.  Sixwire and the All Star Jam will continue to support St. Jude with the continuation of these events, and by adding new ones in the coming years. In addition, the All Star Jam has also been a major part of fundraisers for Convoy Of Hope, American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation, and many more.   For additional information on our involvement with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, sponsoring a St. Jude Event, or charity and celebrity golf tournaments reach out to us HERE.
